Anagram Solver
Type the letters you have. We list every word they can make, longest first.
Type ? for a blank tile.
How the anagram solver works
An anagram uses the same letters in a different order. Type the letters you are holding and the solver checks them against a list of 110,000 British English words, then shows every match. Longer words come first, so the good ones aren't buried under a pile of three-letter words.
Use a question mark for a blank tile. The boxes under the rack narrow the list to words of one length, or words that start with or contain certain letters. Press Best score or A to Z to change the order.

Questions, answered briefly
How do I find anagrams of a word?
Type the word into the box. The solver lists every word that can be made from some or all of its letters, longest first. Words that use every letter are the true anagrams, and they are at the top.
Can I use a blank tile?
Yes. Type a question mark for each blank and the solver tries every letter in its place. Blanks score nothing, as in Scrabble.
What do the small numbers on each word mean?
The Scrabble score, worked out from standard tile values. Bonus squares are not included.
What is the difference between this and the unscrambler?
The anagram solver lists every word your letters can make, of any length. The unscrambler only shows words that use all your letters.
Which dictionary does it use?
A British English list of about 110,000 words, built from the open SCOWL project. Colour is in and color is out. It is not the official Scrabble dictionary, so a very rare Scrabble word may be missing.
Why is a word I know missing?
Proper nouns, hyphenated words and very new coinages are not in the list. If you think a normal word is missing, tell us on the contact page.
