How the unscrambler works
The unscrambler compares your letters with 110,000 British English words and keeps the words that use every letter you typed, once each. Nothing is left over and nothing is added, apart from any blank you mark with a question mark.
If the jumble gives nothing, one letter is probably wrong or the answer is not in our list. Swap a suspect letter for a question mark, or try the anagram solver to see shorter words as well.

How do I unscramble a word?
Type the jumbled letters into the box and press Unscramble. The tool lists every word that uses all of them, in any order.
How is unscrambling different from an anagram solver?
The unscrambler only shows words that use every letter you type. Six letters give six letter words. The anagram solver also lists shorter words hiding inside your letters.
Can I unscramble with a missing letter?
Yes. Type a question mark where a letter is missing, and the unscrambler tries every possible letter in its place.
Can I find words using these letters, of a set length?
Yes. Use the anagram solver and set the length under the rack. It lists every word of that length your letters can make.
Is there a limit on letters?
Fifteen. That covers a full Scrabble rack plus a letter already on the board.
Does it use British spelling?
Yes. The word list is British English, so colour and grey are in, and color is out.
