The letters you type

The anagram solver, unscrambler, Wordle solver, codeword solver, word finder and random word generator run in your browser. Your browser downloads a word list once and searches it on your device. Your letters are not sent to us.

The game

Your game history, streaks and statistics are saved on your own device, in your browser's local storage. We never receive them. Clearing your browser data clears them.

What else we store on your device

One setting: whether you chose the Day or Night edition.

Analytics

If you accept, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which tools and pages get used, so we can find what is broken and improve the site. It records things like the page, your device type, and events such as opening a hint or finishing a game. It never records the letters you type. We also use Microsoft Clarity, which records anonymous heatmaps and short session replays so we can see where people get stuck. Anything you type into a tool, and the results that appear, are masked so they cannot be seen in a replay. If you decline, nothing is stored and neither service sets a cookie.

Adverts and cookies

Adverts help pay for this site. Our advertising partners may set cookies and use identifiers to show and measure adverts. Where the law requires it, you will be asked for your choice before that happens, and you can change it later. See the cookies page.
